$26.00

This coffee to me, evokes the best things about tasting things in nature:

The juiciness of a ripe blackberry, the warm sweetness of fresh honey, the joy of picking a juicy orange and the delightful taste of a firm cherry. All these things lend themselves to making an incredible cup of coffee that brings light sparkling acidity, deep sweetness, and joyous range of fruity notes for all to enjoy. Won’t you take part in some sweet nature today?

This coffee comes from the incredible Francy Castillo and Finca El Ubérrimo! This farm in Colombia is home to wonderful coffees grown at high altitude and you can truly notice the care and effort put into growing these delicious coffees. The coffee cherries were harvested at peak ripeness ensuring Brix level over 22.The cherries are first washed and sorted Then airlocked for 48hrs before being dry-pulped and sieved. The beans then undergo a waterless oxidation process for approximately 60 hours before being transported to the drying area. The Honey coffee is dried on a patio with tarps for 17 to 23 days until reaching 14 % moisture, then sun-refined 4 to 6 hours per day. When moisture reaches 10–11 %, the coffee is then ready to be shipped.

'44'- Ultra-Light, No Crack- Maria Delgado, Colombia, Washed, Caturra.
$17.00

Silver linings come in many forms, and with this coffee it’s no exception, was it a mistake-and now a happy accident, or by desig… Who’s to say? ;)

Well this coffee is wonderful, now rested for 3 months,

This is Kuro Neko's first ever Ultra-light, no crack coffee. Simply called '44'.

Feel free to see any ultra-light refrences in the imagery of this coffee too haha

Tasting of fresh red currants, the kind of picked straight from the bush, the sweet and soft citrus of a Nectarine, and pleasant florals that gently envelope you,

this has turned into a truly delicate and deliciously enjoyable coffee, one that's poised to get better with age.

This is the same incredible Colombian Caturra from the fantastic Maria Delgados Finca El Choco

It's been a lovely surprise that continues to show how pleasant it can be with each

brew.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Coming Home- Natural Ethiopian, G2 Landraces, Shakiso
$26.00

My first coffee I had was an Ethiopian from Weekenders in Kyoto. It introduced me to specialty coffee, its beauty and began my journey of learning all that I could about this incredibly interesting field.

Couple that with the Birthplace and Origin of Coffee being Ethiopia, "Coming Home' is more than a fitting name for this coffee and its meaning to me.

Ever since I started Kuro Neko, an Ethiopian and a natural one at that has been something I've wanted to roast and have, and now it's finally here to share! Please join me in enjoying it!

Lovely notes of Rasberry and Peach emerge from the opening with blueberry layering itself in throughout. As it cools, the fruits blend with the sweet notes of chocolate that begin to show up and complete the cup. This is a very welcoming cup and one I couldn't help but be excited and happy to bring it to you all!

Enjoy drinking it over time as the full range of flavours emerge!

KURO NEKO

200g Whole Bean

Enjoy after resting for 3 weeks

There's lots of information about this one, so I'm more than happy to share(I love learning and teaching!).

Ethiopia is the country of origin and Guji is the region from where this coffee is from. Dur Fures, Oda Shakiso is the Washing Station.

A Washing Station is where coffee can be brought to be processed, typically by farmers and as we can see here by smallholders farmers with land under lo hectares and often coming together to pool their coffee for these lots collectively). Landraces means that its the local and wild varieties of coffee that are grown there naturally. Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee so these unique varietals can be experienced this way and are still being explored and discovered to this day! G2 refers to the grade of the coffee, the second highest in quality. Natural is the "process used, meaning that the coffee cherry is left whole to dry under the son and when the optimal moisture level is reached they are then hulled and sent to the mill to be bagged. The world of coffee is super exciting, new developments happen all the time! Isn't that fascinating!? coffee is best enjoyed when shared and over time! Brew some and Enjoy the Fun!
